PROMISED PROMISED LAND
Through 200,000 years of human history on Earth, we have done absolutely right and wonderful things, but also unimaginably bad ones. Exclusion - once known as natural selection, has become one of the basic principles governing our present world. We, Homo Sapiens - are indeed the most developed species that have ever inhabited our planet, but we forgot that along with privilages come responsibilities. No matter how cartoonish privilages are (like: exploitation, slavery, racism, censorship, discrimination, deportations and many many more) we are still willing to take advantage of them.
Trying to understand the reason of our pride and hubris, the creators of performance want to explore the term such as exclusion, not only from the point of view of excluded, but moreover from those ones, who are excluding.
What is hidden behind all of those activities? The latest performance of the Polish Dance Theater is an epic tale about our history, read as an eternal history of exclusion - from the Big Bang to 2019, from one atom to artificial intelligence. Viewers will have the opportunity to look closely at mankind and human activity on Earth performed in the name of widely understood human rights. Where are we today? Is it the right place for our species? Do we still have time? Are we in the middle of the end of time?
Should we just pierce the bubble, inside of which we live in? Are we all that better from those who stayed on earth? What are we going to see from the heights? Is it going to be Promised Promised Land or reversed utopia?
