\'Event of the decade\' - it was possible to hear such opinions from the lips of spectators leaving the Rondo Theatre Centre in Slupsk on a Wednesday evening. The object of their delight was the performance Transss…an untrue progressive event by the Polish Dance Theatre - Poznan Ballet.
Transss…is an undertaking authored by the director of the theatre, Ewa Wycichowska, inspired by the creation of Witold Gombrowicz. One does not find in it literal citations from Transatlantic for this is not an adaptation but rather a discussion with literature. One may find certain references to concrete works but more important is the homogenous atmosphere and expression uniting elements of the grotesque, the tragic, and the abstract, characteristic of the great writer. Transss…is in some way Wycichowska\'s performance. Her conversation with Gombrowicz. Her philosophy of art.
