Coaching Project is addressed to advanced dancers, who have ambitions and need of creations as well as to artists interested in direction of light, designing the plastic and visual space of the spectacle.
This year’s Coaching is an unique opportunity to fully participate in multidisciplinary creating process, animated by the outstanding artists associated with Maria Kong Dancers Company (MKDC). The leader of this project is Talia Landa, dancer and choreographer, deriving her artistic roots from Batsheva Dance Company, currently head of MKDC.
Talia Landa invited to cooperate in the Coaching Project dancers from her company and:
Video specialist for stage productions Ori Ben Shabbat, graduate of “3D Animation and Visual Effects” at the Vancouver Film School, author of the stage videos to MKDC’s spectacles and special effects in many film productions.
Lighting director Shachar Werchson, graduate of The Naggav School of Photography, Media, New Music, Animation and Photography, light designer at MKDC.
The starting point for process activities will be presentation of Maria Kong’s project “Still motion – moving statues”, which goal is to liberate the individual ideas, concepts, thoughts and emotions of the participants, stimulating their creative actions. In the following days basic idea and initial choreographic concept are going to be completed by musical space, video visualisations, costumes and light. It will be a practical illustration of possibilities, dependences, inspirations and synergy that are carried by cooperation of artists of different fields of art, leading to joint effect of the spectacle.
The individual days will set the key themes:
Concepts and ideas – where do they come from? Investigating own movement, Visualisation, Finalization and Event – Mi Casa Su Casa.
Coaching Project will concluded with a presentation of the project before the audience: 24th of August, 10 p.m. at the Pawilon Nowa Gazownia, Ewangelicka street 1.
