In 2009 is 40th anniversary of Christopher Trzciński Komeda’s death, an outstanding
Polish composer, jazz pianist, author of music to the among the others Roman Polański’s
movies.Komeda came from Poznan where he begin Music School, graduated from Medical School
and begin his doctor's practice. In Poznan’s clubs he played his first compositions.
Also here in 1958 with the group "Jazz Believers" he registered on the International
Fairs in Poznan recordings for RCA. Worldwide and timeless meaning Komeda's compositions
and Poznan clues in his biography are the reason for planned on April 2009 in Poznan artistic
event such as movie shows, concerts and performance "Komeda-Sextest's"premiere. The leading
music theme is based on "Ballet Etudes", which is completed by "Tomorrow premiere" and "Lullaby"
from the film "Rosemery's Baby" and also Agata Zubel's composition ("Parlando"). Stylistic formula
of music, decade of sixtieth is unusually inspiring and let to work of imagination of contemporary
choreographer, who use the esthetics of dance theatre. One of producer's clues is also from 1962
"ballet etudes" of Gerard Wilk and Krystyna Mazurówna who will be the honorable guest of the premiere.
