The original title of this work was "Border". When asked about her relation to borders and restrictions, Paulina Wycichowska says: "Restrictions and reaction to them do interest me. As a creator I am trying to take a closer look at them from various perspectives but I distance myself from them. For sure, I am not an anarchist either. i think that restrictions are necessary to overcome them or take a stand on them. There must exist a rule and it depends from us whether we will start discussing it or fighting it or whether we just break it or we conform to it. "Stop-non-stop" is for me a certaim process, through which I go over and over again. This process involves a few definite assumptions such as the problem of borders among people and groups pf people, borders between beliefs and points of view, ways to overcome borders, the physical and mental ones, the illusion of freedom after overcoming a border gaining speed and crashing into another border. This is therefore a show about our world, but involving pure points within we pass from reality to metaphor.
