Discover Your Personal Movement at Polish Dance Theatre
The mathematical constants and their geometrical explanations inspired Rudolf Laban in his researches of the human body. The leading inspiration of his study was the Golden Mean or – the Golden Proportion, the idea of the geometrical description of beauty. The rule present in the structure of living organisms of the Earth encouraged him to create the concept of the multidimensional movement capacities of the human. Theories of Rudolf Laban became the basement for the new dance in Europe. Recently his theories are being used in many systems of movement notation and analysis in dance, theater, choreography.
The project Discover Your Personal Movement at Polish Dance Theater is based on Laban Movement Analysis. During the 7 days’ workshop sponsored by Grundtvig Program participants will learn of how to create and analyze the movement. They will also learn what movement they do not do and how this limitation may influence their actions.
