She is the professor at the Royal University in Stockholm, the National Pantomime and Acting Academy in Stockholm, the Stockholm Dance University and Music Conservatory in Geneva. She has already created dozens of plays and chorographical projects in Sweden, Germany, Russia and the USA.
Susanne Jaresand joined the group of Swedish contemporary dance artists, the Polish Dance Theatre (Polski Teatr Tańca) has been liaising with for over ten years. The list of artists-contributors includes such personages as Birgit Cullberg, Mats Ek, Örjan Andersson, Jens Östberg, Virpi Pahkinen.
As Susanne Jaresand confessed, ‘En face’ was inspired by a piece by a Swedish music composer – Ingvar Lidholm. The original title of the piece is ‘Rites’, which makes a direct stylistic reference to “The Rite of Spring’ by I. Stravinsky. The pre-view show staged in Sweden won the audience’s standing ovation.
