| YOGA FOR CHILDREN The classes are geared towards children age 5 to 13. The workshop is based on the principles of play: postures and movements are taught through stories in order to combine children’s passion for story-telling with their need for physical activity. Yoga postures are borrowed from the world around us and are based on movements animals, insects and birds make. There is no competition, there are no winners or losers. Yoga entails mastery of the body and mind and combines postures and movements with relaxing practices. It helps improve body posture, strength, agility and concentration. Dance games add diversity to the classes and let the children find joy in experiencing new things. Children practising yoga from early age develop better, and strengthen their self-esteem and willpower. Comfortable, loose clothing required. Bring a mat with you. |
