Dance therapy, advanced Working the therapeutic alliance in dance therapy
Science says the therapeutic alliance is far more important than what kind of therapeutic technique You use. Beacuse of that we really have to examine what that alliance consists of in the therapeutic work of dance. 1. What is the working alliance in dance therapy? We work with Bordin´s aspects of the therapeutic alliance - therapeutic task, - goal and –bond. 2. We will examine different kinds of positive transference in the therapeutic situation, that will allow the therapeutic alliance to thrive – twinship/ kinship; idealizing/reliance and mirroring/validation, cocepts from relational psychotherapeutic theory, Kohut and Basch 3. We´ll also look at negative therapeutic transference, therapeutic ruptures and how to work with them, through careful acceptance and exploration. 4. Participants will be given the opportunity to bring an own case for danced supervision in the group. How can we help our clients and our selves to connect in therapy?
